Fairview Fire Department
Memorial Day
Ceremony
The Fairview Fire Department would like to invite our friends, family, and community to observe:
The Unified Memorial Day Motorocade
May 25th, 2020
Since the earliest ceremonies in small American towns following the Civil War, we have gathered on Memorial Day to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. As in those early days of laying wreaths and placing flags, our national day of remembrance is often felt most deeply among the families and communities who have personally lost friends and loved ones.
Due to the current global health pandemic and the need for social distancing many organizations will be unable to perform their traditional ceremonies to honor those we lost in service of our country.
This year, on Memorial Day, the Town of Greenburgh, The Greenburgh Police Department, The Fairview Fire District, The Hartsdale Fire District, The Greenville Fire District, and the Veterans Advisory Committee will unite for the 2020 Memorial Day Motorcade to preserve the
tradition of Memorial Day.
The route for the motorcade is outlined below and we respectfully request that those who wish to observe the motorcade be mindful of wearing appropriate masks and practicing social distancing. The safest way to observe the 2020 Memorial Day Motorcade would be from inside your own personal vehicle parked along the route..
