NOTICE TO BIDDERS

 

 

 

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received until 14:00 hours on the 8th day of July 2010, at which time they will be publicly opened and read, at the Office of the Board of Fire Commissioners, Fairview Fire Headquarters, 19 Rosemont Boulevard, White Plains, New York 10607 (Town of Greenburgh) for the ROOF REPAIR to FAIRVIEW FIRE DISTRICT STATION #2, including GENERAL CONSTRUCTION; as per specifications set forth therefore.

 

The Board of Fire Commissioners of the Fairview Fire District reserves the right to make the award of contract to the bidder meeting several requirements, such as the ability to service, record of good performance, warranty, guarantee, time of delivery (guaranteed) and compliance with specifications or exceptions taken.  Bidder shall list in his proposal and bid any and all exceptions, including difference of price.

 

The Board of Fire Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to award same in a manner deemed to be in the best interest of the Fire District.

 

A bidder must comply with provisions of Section 103-a and 103-b of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York.

 

The Bid shall contain the statement of non-collusion in bids subscribed by the bidder and affirmed by the bidder as true under penalties of perjury as required by Section 103-d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York.

 

The necessary specifications and bid proposal form may be obtained from the Office of the Fire District Secretary at Fairview Fire Headquarters, 19 Rosemont Boulevard, White Plains, New York from 21 June 2010 through 5 July 2010 on weekdays between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., for the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), check or money order payable to the “Fairview Fire District.”   Deposit will be refunded upon return of plans and specifications in acceptable condition.

 

The bid shall be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked “Roof Repair to Fairview Fire District – Station #2: General Construction.”
