OF ANNUAL ELECTION
FAIRVIEW
FIRE DISTRICT IN THE TOWN OF
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual Election of the
qualified voters of the Fairview Fire District in the Town of Greenburgh,
Westchester County, New York, will be held in each election district of said
Fire District at the places hereinafter set forth on the 13th day of December, 2011 between the hours of
five o’clock P.M. and nine o’clock P.M. prevailing time, for the purpose of
electing one (1) Fire Commissioner for a five (5) year term, commencing on
January 1, 2012 and ending on December 31, 2016.
NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the election
districts within the Fire District and the place for each such election
district where such annual election will be held are as follows:
Residents in Election Districts 41, 44, 45,
46, 47, 48, 63, 64, 67, and 78
Polling Place
Residents in Election Districts 42, 50, 51,
61 and 77

IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the Board of Elections of the Fairview Fire
District shall meet at Fire Headquarters,
Qualifications for voters
for Fire Commissioner: All duly registered
electors of the Fairview Fire District who shall have resided within the Fire
District for a period of not less than thirty days prior to the election shall
be eligible to vote.
Qualifications for Fire
Commissioner: Every fire commissioner at
the time of his election shall have resided in the Fairview Fire District for a
period of thirty (30) days next preceding the election and be an elector of the
Fairview Fire District.
NOTICE
IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that, under the provisions of Section 176, subdivision
7 of the Town Law, the Board of Fire Commissioners duly adopted a resolution on
the 10th day of October, 1996 that requires all candidates for the
office of Fire Commissioner in the Fairview Fire District to file their names
with the Secretary of the Fire District, Thelia I. Mauro, at 19 Rosemont
Boulevard, Greenburgh, New York, at least twenty (20) days prior to the date of
such Fire District election and that such nominations shall be submitted in
petition form subscribed to by twenty-five (25) qualified electors of the Fairview
Fire District. In 2011, all petitions
must be filed with the Fire District Secretary on or before November 23rd.
